The influence of community spirit is significant in Bengaluru, a city that values various forms of arts and culture, according to pianist Khyochano TCK. Khyochano is bringing the Brillante Piano Festival to Bengaluru this weekend, with musicians from 18 countries and 16 Indian states participating in the event. The festival aims to unite individuals for a common purpose and vision, taking place against the backdrop of Bengaluru's lively cultural scene. Originating in Kohima, Nagaland in 2017, the festival will offer performances, workshops, competitions, and masterclasses covering various genres including jazz, contemporary, and classical music. The festival also includes a platform for Specially Abled Musicians (SAM), reflecting a commitment to inclusivity. Khyochano stresses the importance of celebrating these musicians with admiration rather than pity. Emphasizing the festival's focus on unity and vision, Khyochano highlights the global collaboration among artists. In preparation for the event, organizers held a street piano event on Church Street, showcasing community involvement through music. This project not only provided musical entertainment but also demonstrated the power of creative expression in uniting diverse communities through art and music.
